The concept of self proclaimed evolved person makes me laugh. Who are we to decide whether we are an evolved person ?
We don't become a evolved person by reading few books and befooling some people. I happened to come across a few of self proclaimed evolved persons . If you ask them a tough question which is doubting their intentions for example... Have you ever lied or done something wrong ? They will answer that question in the most diplomatic way i e .. With another question . Every self proclaimed evolved person claims that he/she has nothing to lie and nothing to fear . Whom are they befooling ? I guess nobody other than themselves . Every alive thing on this planet has something to fear and something to lie for unless you are Buddha and attained enlightenment .
In first place what is Intellectual evolution ?
It's a myth created my human mind like many other because these myths are necessary to overcome the fears of human mind. A person lives in a world of myth because the myth encourages the pursuit of goodness within a framework of need rather than the pursuit of wisdom within a framework of truth.
Evolution is a continues process . People learn from life experiences and smart people learn from other's experiences .
In the evolution of mankind, evolution is primarily a dialectical zig-zag between the collective and the individual. Collective myths gradually change into personal myths ; collective roles gradually change into individual roles. Then the dialectical pendulum swings to the other extreme and personal myths give way to collective myths, and collective roles assume their former importance. Each swing of the evolutionary pendulum evolves ideas of individuality and collectivity. The individual of one era is different from the individual of a previous era ; similarly for collective roles. For example, the individual of ancient Greek days is different from the individual of the Renaissance era, who again is different from the individual of today.
The human race is evolving with every generation same is the case for every other species . Today at an click of a mouse you can get any and every information available in the world. There is so much to learn about life and this world . There can't be a stage where in a person can claim that he/she is intellectually evolved. Learning and evolution is a constant process , we don't know when it started and when will it end .
It would be both frustrating and defeating for the intellectual evolution of the human mind if we claim to be an evolved person .Life had lot to offer and lot of lessons are to be learned and if we stop doing it because we think we have already seen everything then the whole purpose of our existence will be defeated.
